Each person decides for themselves which routes news arrives by. Inside the app, by email and by browser push are three separate routes, and each one can be switched off or on independently. Parents additionally choose which kinds of news about their children they want.

Frequently asked questions
Does anything still arrive after being switched off?
Some things do. Anything not marked as suppressible is sent without the preferences being consulted at all.
Can somebody else change my settings?
No. The settings are found and saved against the identity of the person making the request itself.
How does the parent choice work?
Three kinds can be chosen separately, and each notification's own kind is matched against that choice before sending.
