The moment a piece of work is published, the students enrolled in that classroom are notified. The notice carries the title, the classroom name and the due date, and following it lands the student on the work itself rather than a list.

Work set out loud in class is invisible to whoever was absent that day, and once the due date has gone past neither the student nor the teacher has much to say about why.
