- Students hand in assignments straight from the appIn ClassTablet a student opens the assignment, sees a countdown to the due date, and hands in by typing an answer, sharing a link or uploading a PDF or Word file of up to 25 MB. The teacher gets an in-app notification as soon as it arrives. Anything handed in after the due date is marked late.
- Answers reach the server every 15 seconds, with nothing to pressWhile a ClassTablet quiz is in progress, the answers a student has given are sent to the server every 15 seconds on their own. There is no save button to press. If the phone dies or the browser crashes, everything up to the last send is already stored on the server rather than on the device.
- A power cut does not mean starting the exam againIf the connection or the power goes while a student is taking a ClassTablet quiz, they log back in and return to the same attempt rather than starting over. The answers already sent are still in place, and coming back does not count as another attempt against their limit.
- See the rules before the quiz starts, not afterIn ClassTablet a student opens a quiz from their classroom and sees an intro screen first: the time limit, how many questions there are, how many attempts they get and the teacher's instructions. Pressing start opens an attempt and runs a timer at the top of the page.
- Most of the marking is done the moment a quiz is submittedWhen a student submits a quiz in ClassTablet, the multiple choice, checkbox and true or false answers are scored against the teacher's answer key immediately. Short answers the key could not match are left for the teacher. Whether the student sees a result at that point is a setting on the quiz.
- View my attendance record without asking the teacherIn ClassTablet a student opens their class list for any day and sees, next to each class, whether they were marked present, late, absent or excused. If attendance hasn't been taken yet, it says so. When the teacher saves or corrects attendance, the status changes on screen without a refresh.
- One code, and the student is in the batchA student enters the classroom's code in their own account and is enrolled directly. A wrong code and a classroom that is not taking students each give their own message. If the teacher's plan has reached its student limit, nobody new can join until that changes.
- Classroom fee claims, with bad ones stopped at the doorThe moment a student submits a classroom fee claim in ClassTablet, a few rules are checked: are they actively enrolled, does that month have a bill, is the amount more than twice the fee, and is the month already paid? Only a claim that passes every check goes to the teacher.
- The payment receipt stays with the paymentIn ClassTablet a student can attach the bKash, Nagad or Rocket confirmation screenshot when submitting a fee claim: JPEG, PNG or WebP, up to 5 MB. The image stays attached to that month's payment. Teachers open it with 'View Receipt', and the student can see it in their own payment details too.
- Tuition fee reminders that go out on their ownAt 9am on the 15th of each month, ClassTablet looks at the current month's bills. Only students whose bill is still unpaid, or whose submitted payment was rejected, get a reminder in the app and by push notification, naming the classroom and the amount. Students who have already paid hear nothing.
- Last month's unpaid fees don't get buriedAt 9am on the 5th of each month, ClassTablet goes back over the previous month's bills. Any student whose fee for last month is still unpaid or rejected gets a 'tuition fee overdue' notice in the app and by push. Old dues are pulled out on their own instead of disappearing behind the new month's bills.
- Students pay their own fees, with proof attachedIn ClassTablet a student opens their Fees page, sees each month's bill and taps 'Pay Now'. They pick bKash, Nagad or Rocket, see your institution's number, send the money, then submit their phone number, the transaction ID and the amount. The classroom's teacher is notified at once and checks the payment.
