From your question bank spreadsheet straight into a quiz
In the ClassTablet quiz editor, Import CSV brings in up to 500 questions at once from a .csv, .xlsx or .xls file. Question and correct answer columns are required; type, points and up to six options are optional. If a row has an error the import stops and shows the row and column, so nothing goes in half done.
How it is done today
Most coaching centres have a question bank built up in Excel over years, hundreds of MCQs by chapter. Running quizzes online means typing them in again one by one, and copy-paste scrambles the options.
How it works

Check the template
Download the sample CSV from the import page. It has type, question, option_1 to option_6, correct, points and explanation columns.

Upload the file
Drag in your .csv, .xlsx or .xls file. More than 500 rows, or no rows at all, and you're told straight away.

Match the columns
Columns named 'answer' or 'marks' are recognised too. When everything matches clearly this step is skipped; when in doubt it asks you to confirm.

Import the questions
The last step adds the questions to the quiz. If any row has an error you see its row number and column; fix it and upload again.

Frequently asked questions
What if there's no question type column?
It's optional. Without it ClassTablet works out the type from the row's options and answer. With it, short names such as mcq, tf and sa work.
If one row is wrong, do the others still go in?
No, it's all or nothing. The error list shows the row number and column; fix the file and upload again, with no risk of half the questions going in twice.
Can the column names be in Bengali?
Keep the column names in English, such as question, correct and points. The question and option text itself can be in Bengali.
