Record class attendance without a roll call
In ClassTablet the teacher opens the class that is running now from Smart Today, marks each student present, absent, late or excused, adds a note if needed, and taps Confirm Attendance. Each student's card shows their recent attendance pattern, and the same class can never be recorded twice.
How it is done today
Most coaching centres and schools still call the roll from a register, and the first ten minutes of every class go on reading names. The register lives in the teacher's bag, so the office never knows who is missing. A student who skips three days in a row only shows up at the month-end tally, and when two teachers keep the same class in two registers nobody knows which is right.
How it works

Pick today's class
The Smart Today view on the Attendance page sorts today's classes into Happening Now, Later Today and Missed. To record another date, switch to the Classrooms view.

Mark every student
Choose present, absent, late or excused on each student's card. The card itself says things like 'Absent last 3 classes' or 'Attendance: 85%', and Undo fixes a slip.

Add notes
Leave a short note on a student who is on leave or unwell. The whole class can carry a note too, such as 'started late because of the rain'.

Review and confirm
Review Attendance shows everyone's status on one screen; tap Confirm Attendance. Each student sees their own status next to the class straight away.

Frequently asked questions
Doesn't a big batch take ages?
No. In the table view, tap Mark All Present and change only the few students who are absent or late. You can also search the list by name.
What if the same class is recorded twice by mistake?
ClassTablet refuses a second record for the same class, date and time slot. It says attendance was already taken and points you to correcting the existing record instead.
Can the institution admin take attendance?
Yes. Besides the class teacher, the institution admin can record attendance for any class, for example when the teacher is on leave or someone else covers the class.
Is attendance on every plan?
Yes. Taking attendance is on Starter (৳499 a month, one classroom), Standard (৳20 per student per month) and Custom alike.
