Build an online quiz exam, from question types to publishing
In ClassTablet a teacher writes MCQ, checkbox, true/false and short answer questions in the quiz editor, or brings in up to 500 questions at once from an Excel or CSV file. Set the time limit, number of attempts and open dates, publish, and the classroom's students are notified.

- Publish the quiz and the class hears about it
A draft quiz with at least one question can be published. Publishing puts it in front of the classes it is assigned to and notifies those students.
- Put the easy questions first and the hard ones later
Drag questions into a different order in the quiz editor's question list. Students meet the questions in exactly the order you leave them in.
- Take a quiz back off the batch it should not have gone to
Sent a quiz to the wrong batch? Drop that classroom from the quiz editor's settings. The quiz itself is kept, it simply leaves that class's quiz list.

Once the window is over, close the quiz. No student can start a new attempt after that, while the submissions and marks already recorded stay as they are.

Spotted a wrong answer key after publishing? Send the quiz back to draft. Students cannot start it while you fix the questions and publish it again.
- Archive a finished quiz rather than deleting it
Move a finished session's quiz out of the way without deleting it. The quiz becomes archived and its attempts and marks stay where they were.
- One bad question does not mean rebuilding the quiz
Take a wrong or repeated question out from the quiz editor. The other questions stay exactly as they are; only the total and the pass mark change.
- Keep quizzes nobody will use off the list
Remove a test quiz or a duplicate from its editor. The classroom's quiz list reloads without it, and a failure says why rather than passing silently.

The Target classes field in a quiz's settings shows which classrooms the quiz is currently set to, and lets you add or remove one from the same place.
- The answer key never reaches the student
A quiz can be opened with its questions and their options, with the answer key stripped out first according to who is doing the looking at it.

Which question types can I use?

Our question bank is in Excel. Do we retype it?
No. Use Import CSV in the editor and upload a .csv, .xlsx or .xls file. Match the columns and up to 500 questions land in the quiz at once.
Could an empty quiz be published by mistake?
No. ClassTablet will not publish a quiz with no questions, and only a draft can be published.
