The list says what is still to be handed in

Assignments are announced in class and the date goes out on WhatsApp, so nobody has one place that says what is outstanding. Students ask on the last day what they were supposed to hand in, and the teacher works out who has not submitted by going through the pile, which costs half an hour per batch.

   Open the classroom's assessments

   Go into the classroom and open its assessments section. The classroom's assignments and quizzes are listed there together.

   Pick a filter

   All, upcoming, needs review, draft, submitted and graded sit across the top. Choosing one leaves only the work in that state.

   Read the cards

   Each card says whether it is an assignment or a quiz, what it is worth and when it is due. A piece with no due date says so instead of leaving a gap.

   Go to the next step

   A student's button changes with their state: start the assignment, continue a draft, view a submission or resubmit returned work.
