One bad question does not mean rebuilding the quiz
Each question in the quiz editor has its own remove control. Taking one out removes only that question and leaves the rest and their marks untouched. Since the quiz is now worth less, it is worth checking the pass mark before publishing.
How it is done today
Adding the same question twice, or marking the wrong option as correct, happens to everyone writing a paper. Without a way to remove one, teachers rebuild the whole quiz, retyping all the questions that were fine.
How it works

Open the quiz editor
Go to the quiz's editor from the classroom's quiz list. The questions are laid out one under the other.

Find the question
Locate the one to remove and read it and its options once. There is no undo, so it is worth being sure.

Remove it
Use the question's own remove control. If it cannot be removed, a red message appears carrying the reason from the server.

Check the marks
The settings show the total and the pass mark. With one question fewer the arithmetic has changed, so check it before publishing.

Frequently asked questions
What about students who already took it?
Removing a question after students have started means earlier attempts no longer match the quiz. Better to fix the questions before publishing.
Does the order of the rest change?
The remaining questions keep their order. To change it, the editor has a separate drag-to-reorder for questions.
Does it delete the question from the question bank?
No. This removes the question from that quiz. Questions saved in the question bank are separate and are managed from the question bank page.
