Answers reach the server every 15 seconds, with nothing to press
While a ClassTablet quiz is in progress, the answers a student has given are sent to the server every 15 seconds on their own. There is no save button to press. If the phone dies or the browser crashes, everything up to the last send is already stored on the server rather than on the device.
How it is done today
The biggest worry about running exams online in Bangladesh is not technical, it is trust. A student who writes for half an hour and loses all of it will not sit another online exam, and the teacher has to run the whole thing again. Keeping the answers only in the browser leaves that risk in place.

Whether they are choosing an option or typing an answer, there is nothing for the student to save. No save button appears anywhere in the quiz.

Frequently asked questions
Does it still save with no internet at all?
No. Sending answers needs a connection, so answers given while the connection is completely down cannot go anywhere. They are included in the next send once the connection returns.
Does a teacher's preview get saved too?
No. When a teacher opens the quiz to see how it looks, it runs as a preview only: no attempt is created and no answers are sent to the server.
Does the student have to turn it on?
Nothing at all. It is running as soon as the quiz starts, there is no setting for it and there is no save button. The student just answers the questions.
