Classroom fee claims, with bad ones stopped at the door
The moment a student submits a classroom fee claim in ClassTablet, a few rules are checked: are they actively enrolled, does that month have a bill, is the amount more than twice the fee, and is the month already paid? Only a claim that passes every check goes to the teacher.
How it is done today
On WhatsApp the same student sends the same month's screenshot twice, someone types ৳25000 by mistake, and another sends money for a batch they already left. The teacher has to open each screenshot to catch these, and missing one puts a wrong figure in the register.
How it works
- 1
Only enrolled students can submit
Only a student actively enrolled in the classroom can submit a claim for its fee. Nobody who has left the class can add a payment to its list.
- 2
The month's bill must exist
The claimed month must already have a bill. Without one the claim is refused, so a student who picks the wrong month is caught at the start.
- 3
A limit on the amount
The amount can't be more than twice the monthly fee, so an extra zero typed by mistake is never submitted and never lands on the teacher's desk.
- 4
No double claims
If the month was already paid online through SSLCommerz, or an earlier claim is pending or approved, a new claim is refused. Only unpaid or rejected months accept one.
- 5
The claim goes to the teacher
Once every check passes, the student sees 'Payment submitted' and that it awaits verification. The teacher is notified straight away of who paid how much for which month.

Frequently asked questions
Can a student pay several months in advance?
Each claim is for one month's bill, and that bill has to exist already. So a student can't submit a claim for a month whose bill hasn't been raised yet.
Can students submit manual claims if SSLCommerz is on?
No. When a classroom uses the online SSLCommerz method, manual claims are switched off there and students pay online directly. The two don't run side by side.
What details does the student give?
The provider (bKash, Nagad or Rocket), the number they sent from, the transaction ID and the amount, plus an optional receipt photo and a note of up to 500 characters.
