Keep the notes in one place, not on six phones
Study material for the shared subject library is uploaded from the platform's own admin screen and attached to a subject. A file that has been uploaded before is matched and the existing one returned rather than stored again, so duplicates do not pile up.
How it is done today
Notes and question papers end up scattered: some in WhatsApp, some on a teacher's phone, some on an old pen drive. Nobody can say which copy of a file is the current one, and the same file circulates several times over.
How it works

Open the material upload
The place for adding material is opened from the admin subjects page. Choosing the file and filling in its details happen together there.

Upload the file
Picking the file uploads it. There is a dedicated upload path behind this, so larger files are handled rather than refused.

Attach it to a subject
Say which subject the file belongs to and it joins that subject's list of materials.

Duplicates are caught
The file is checked against what has been uploaded before, and if it matches, the existing one comes back instead.

Who can upload material?
The upload screen for the shared subject library is the platform administrator's today, and a request arriving from any other role is refused rather than allowed through.
Does uploading the same file twice make two copies?
No. A file that has been uploaded before is matched and the existing one is returned, so the same thing does not end up stored twice.
Can an uploaded material be edited afterwards?
Uploading and removing are what the software supports today. To change one, upload the new file and take the old one down.
