Know which batch is in class right now
The classroom list shows each batch as a card. The card carries the subjects, the weekly class times, when the next class falls, how many people are waiting to join and how many fees are unpaid. Whichever batch is in class right now rises to the top, rechecked every minute.
How it is done today
Once a coaching centre runs twenty or twenty five batches, working out which one is in class, which one has people waiting to join and which one has fees outstanding means checking each of them separately. Kept in a register or a separate file, that picture stops matching reality by the middle of the day.
How it works

Open the classroom list
The cards along the top carry the totals: how many batches there are, how many are active, how many are still drafts and how many join requests are waiting across all of them.

Search by name
Typing a batch name filters the list shortly after you stop typing rather than on every keystroke, so a long list does not get re-queried letter by letter.

Separate active from draft
Batches that are running and batches that have not started yet can be shown apart, and the choice stays in the address so the filtered page can be shared.

Go into a batch from its card
Opening a card takes you into that classroom, where its announcements, classes, students and results each have their own tab.

Frequently asked questions
Does a class in progress move to the top by itself?
Yes. The list recalculates its own order once a minute, so the batch that is in class right now rises towards the top instead of having to be looked for.
Can I see unpaid fees from the list?
Each card carries the number of students in that batch whose fee has not come in, so you can tell which batch needs chasing without opening it first.
Does every teacher see every batch?
The list is resolved for whoever is looking at it. The scope is worked out by institution and by teacher, so people see the batches they are actually attached to.
