Stop the morning and evening shifts running into each other
A new section can be created underneath a classroom. The section is itself a classroom held under that one, so it can carry its own subjects, class timetable, monthly fee and student limit. The parent classroom's teachers are added to the section automatically.
How it is done today
Running a morning and an evening shift of the same subject in one classroom mixes up attendance, fees and the timetable. Making two separate classrooms loses the fact that they are one batch, and every report then has to add the two back together by hand.
How it works

Open the classroom and start a section
Open the batch you want to split and go to the create section page. It is available to anyone allowed to manage that classroom's sections.

Name and describe the section
Give it a name you will recognise, such as morning shift or evening batch. A short description can be added alongside it.

Set the fee and student limit
The section's own monthly fee and the largest number of students it should take are both set here rather than inherited.

Add subjects and the timetable
Say which subjects the section covers and when its classes run. Both are written as the section is created.

Do I have to add teachers to a new section?
No. The parent classroom's teachers are added to the section as it is created, so nobody has to be assigned separately.

Yes. The section's own monthly fee is set when you create it, so two shifts can be charged differently without any difficulty.
Can a section's details be changed afterwards?
Creating a section is what the software supports today, so it is worth checking the details before you create it.
