Keep the batch's news in the batch's own place
A teacher writes in the classroom's announcements area to tell the whole batch something at once. Files can be attached to the post and stay with it. Posting is limited to the people who have edit access to that classroom, so it is not open to everyone in it.
How it is done today
Batch news usually goes into a WhatsApp group, where the important announcement is buried under twenty messages within the hour. A student who is not in the group hears nothing, and somebody always turns up the day before an exam saying nobody told them.

Open the classroom's announcements
Opening the classroom puts the announcements area in front of you, with that batch's earlier posts listed underneath.

Write the post
Type what you need to say. A title can be added, or the post can be just the text without one.

Attach files if you need to
A timetable, a question paper or a photo can be attached. The files stay with the post inside the classroom rather than being sent separately.

Post it
The announcement joins the classroom's list and a notification is raised for the students in that batch.

Does only that batch see the post?
Yes. The announcement belongs to the classroom it was posted in, so students in other batches do not receive it.
Can I post without a title?
Yes. A post can be just the text, and leaving the text empty is stored as empty rather than refused.
How many files can I attach?
More than one can be attached, and all of them stay with the post in the classroom. There is a dedicated upload path behind it.
