Each classroom has an announcements area where everything said to that batch collects in one place. A teacher writes a post and can attach files to it. A post can be edited or removed afterwards, and all of it is limited to the people with edit access to that classroom.

No. Posts stay listed inside the classroom, so someone looking a month later still finds them in that batch's own space.
