You do not have to get it all right on day one
A batch's details can be changed from the classroom's edit page. Only someone with permission to update that classroom can do it, and which fields may change is fixed in advance, so nothing outside the form can be pushed through.
How it is done today
A batch opened in a hurry ends up with a misspelled name, a subject missing, or a name that needs changing part way through the year. Without a way to edit, the teacher has to open a second classroom and ask everybody to join again.
How it works

Go to the classroom's edit page
Open the classroom and go to its edit page. The batch's details are laid out there in steps.

Change what needs changing
Correct the name, the subjects or whichever detail is wrong. Everything you do not touch stays exactly as it was.

Save the change
Saving updates the classroom's details. If the classroom cannot be found, you are told that rather than left guessing.

Frequently asked questions
Do students have to rejoin after a rename?
No. Editing changes the classroom's own details, and nobody has to be asked to join again because of it.
Can any teacher edit the details?
