Minutes of class notes still available
A teacher can check their credit balance at any time. One credit is one minute of recording, so the number reads directly as how many more minutes of class notes can be made. Free and purchased credits are shown apart, with the date the free allowance renews.
How it is done today
Finishing a class and then finding there are no credits leaves the recording sitting there and the students without that day's notes. And if checking the balance means a separate page, nobody checks it before the class.

One credit is one minute, so the balance needs no conversion: the figure itself is how many minutes of notes are left.

Cost is counted in started minutes, so a forty-two minute class takes forty-two credits and half a minute still takes one.

Thirty free to begin with
Thirty free credits are created the first time a teacher's balance is looked up, so half an hour of notes needs no purchase at all.

The two are tracked separately, which is what lets the free allowance renew without disturbing credits somebody paid for.

Correct right after buying
Coming back from a purchase refetches the balance, so the number on screen is the new one rather than the stale figure.

Does recording cost credits?
No. Recording and storing the file are free. Credits are spent only when notes are produced from that recording.
Can you see what each job cost?
We do not claim a ledger of past deductions. The balance shows three figures: free, purchased and the total of the two.
