Where making the notes has got to
A recorded class's page shows the state of the latest notes job, which stage it is at, and when it was queued, started and finished. A failure carries its reason, and a recording where nothing has run yet says so plainly rather than showing nothing.
How it is done today
Record an hour-long class and wait for notes that do not appear, and the teacher cannot tell whether it is running, stuck or never started. So they try again, spending credits a second time, when the real problem may have been something else entirely.

The most recent job for that recording is what comes back, so there is no ambiguity about which attempt is being reported.

Rather than only saying it is running, the reply names the stage it is at, which is what shows where the time is going.

Queued, started and finished are all carried, so waiting in the queue can be told apart from the work itself taking a long time.

A failed job reports why it failed, so the teacher knows what went wrong before deciding whether to run it again.

No, this route returns the latest job only. We do not claim a history listing every previous attempt at making the notes.
Does nothing run mean the recording is lost?
No. The recording is kept and only the notes job has not run. That is what happens when credits were short, and trying again once there are credits starts it.
Can you see another teacher's job?
No. Ownership of the recording is checked first, so the state of a job on somebody else's class cannot be read from here.
