The submission screen for an assignment carries a Voice notes panel. Give the note a label such as Strengths or Q3, then record in the browser or upload an audio file you made earlier. Once the grade is published, the student can play the note back.
How it is done today
Written feedback ends up as 'good work' or 'try harder', because writing a paragraph on forty scripts is not something an evening allows. Spoken, the same teacher can explain in thirty seconds where the answer went wrong and what to do differently next time.
How it works

Open the submission
Open a student's submission from the classroom's assignment. The Voice notes panel sits beside the marking, listing any notes already added.

Give it a label
A short label is required before recording, such as Strengths or Q3. Without one the recording does not start and the screen asks for it.

Record or upload
Press record and speak in the browser, or upload an audio file you recorded on your phone. If the microphone is blocked, the screen says so and suggests uploading instead.

It travels with the grade
The note stays attached to the submission and the student hears it when the grade is published. Up to ten notes per submission, each up to an hour long.

Frequently asked questions
When do students hear the note?
After the grade is published. The panel says so plainly, which means notes can be recorded while the marking is still a draft.
How many notes can one submission hold?
Up to ten, each no longer than an hour. The limit is checked in the browser and again on the server, so an eleventh cannot slip through.
What if the microphone does not work?
A 'Microphone blocked' message appears and suggests uploading an audio file instead. Recording on a phone and uploading that file does the same job.
Is this on every plan?
Yes. Voice feedback comes with Starter (৳499 a month), Standard (৳20 per student a month) and Custom alike.
