Lay out every class and section in one template
In ClassTablet the admin downloads a CSV template from the Bulk add classrooms page. It has six columns: title, section, room, max_students, teacher_email and teacher_name, and each row is one classroom. Give a teacher's email and that teacher is placed in the class on import; leave it blank and the class is created without a teacher for now.
How it is done today
At the start of a school year, classes six to ten each with sections A, B and C add up to dozens of classes to open. Which section sits in which room and which teacher takes which class lives on the office notice board or in the head teacher's notebook, and opening classes one at a time in software takes a whole day.

Open import from the classrooms list
The Bulk add button above the classrooms list in the admin dashboard opens the Bulk add classrooms page.

Download the template
In step one, Download template saves classtablet-classroom-import-template.csv with three sample classes in it.

Write one class per row
Put the class name in title (for example Class 1 Mathematics), the section in section, the room number in room and the number of seats in max_students.

Add the teacher's email
Put one of your teachers' emails in teacher_email and they become that class's teacher. Leave it blank if the teacher isn't decided yet.

Frequently asked questions
What happens if we leave the seat count blank?
If max_students is empty the classroom is created with 30 seats. You can change the number later in the classroom's settings.
Does a wrong teacher email cancel the whole row?
No. If the email doesn't match one of your teachers, the classroom is still created, just without a teacher. Add the teacher afterwards.
Can the column headings be in Bangla?
Yes. Headings such as ক্লাসের নাম, শাখা, রুম, ধারণক্ষমতা or শিক্ষকের ইমেইল are matched to the right fields by ClassTablet itself.
