Nobody reads the password, it is only copied
On the class scheduling sheet for a Zoom classroom, a teacher presses Sign in to Zoom and two things happen together: Zoom's sign-in page opens in a new tab, and the password for their assigned host is copied to the clipboard. The password is never drawn on screen, only pasted.
How it is done today
Without signing in to the Zoom desktop app as the host, there is no cloud recording and no host controls. So the admin sends the password on WhatsApp, and that message sits on everyone's phone for months. One leak puts the whole account at risk.
How it works

Open the class scheduling sheet
Add or edit a class in a Zoom classroom. The meeting link section shows your assigned host's sign-in email when you hold one.

Press Sign in to Zoom
The button sits next to the host's sign-in email when one is saved. Pressing it opens Zoom's sign-in page in a new tab straight away.

Paste the password
The password lands on your clipboard as the tab opens. Enter the email on Zoom's page and paste it into the password field to sign in.

If none is saved
When no password is stored for that host, Zoom still opens but the screen says there was none to copy. Ask your admin to add one.

Frequently asked questions
Is the password shown on screen?
No. It is never rendered, only placed on the clipboard. Nobody standing beside you can read it and it cannot end up in a screenshot.
Is there a record of who fetched it?
Each request is an audited access on the server, and the result is never cached in the browser or refetched in the background. Every sign-in means pressing the button again.
Can I get someone else's host password?
The button sits beside your own assigned host. The sheet shows only the host you hold, and stays empty when an admin sets a class up for someone else.
