Assign the host, not the password
Every host row on the Zoom page has an Assigned to cell. Opening it lists the institution's active members, limited to the roles allowed to hold a host. Pick one and the host is theirs, and they see it on the class scheduling sheet without anyone sending them a password.
How it is done today
Sharing the Zoom account password among teachers means nobody knows who is teaching on it, two people signing in at once cuts one class off, and when someone leaves the only fix is changing the password for everybody. Assigning hosts individually removes all three problems.
How it works

Find the host's row
Under Dashboard, Settings, Zoom, the hosts appear as rows in the table. Find the Assigned to cell on the row you want to give out.

Pick a person
Opening the cell lists the institution's active members. Only owners, admins, institution admins and teachers appear there.

It saves as you pick
Choosing a name stores the assignment and reloads the table with that person's name in the cell. There is no separate save to press.

Free it again if needed
Unassigned sits at the top of the list. Choose it and the host belongs to nobody, ready to be given to someone else.

Frequently asked questions
Why is someone missing from the list?
Only active members of the institution in a role allowed to hold a host appear. A Zoom host cannot be assigned to a student or a parent.
Can one teacher hold more than one host?
Assignment is per host, so one person can hold several. In practice one host each is enough, since a teacher runs one class at a time.
Can a classroom use Zoom without an assignment?
No. If none of the classroom's teachers holds a host, Zoom cannot be chosen as its platform and the screen asks you to assign one first.
