A student's home page carries two kinds of quiz notice. Quizzes opening within the next twenty four hours are announced in advance, and a quiz the student started but has not finished shows how much time is left on it.
How it is done today
When a quiz opens is usually said once in class. Students forget the time, are busy with something else when it opens, and some start a quiz, leave it part way through and never notice the clock running out.

Signing in brings the quiz notices onto the home page, so which batch has a quiz and when does not have to be hunted down.

Quizzes opening within the next twenty four hours are announced in advance, along with which batch and which subject each belongs to.

Go back to a quiz in progress
A quiz that was started and not finished is shown separately, with the time remaining on it whenever the quiz has a time limit.

Closed quizzes drop off
A quiz whose window has already ended stops appearing, so everything left on the list is something the student can still sit.

Frequently asked questions
Can the same quiz appear twice?
No. A quiz that has been started shows once as in progress, and it is deliberately left out of the list of quizzes that are about to open.
What shows for a quiz with no time limit?
No countdown is shown, because there is nothing to count down against. The quiz still appears as one the student has in progress.
Are quizzes further out announced too?
No. Only those opening within twenty four hours appear, which keeps next week's quizzes from crowding out what is happening today.
