Move to the next student without going back to a list
Opening an assignment's submissions page loads the assignment and every submission that has come in. A teacher works through one student at a time and steps to the next without going back and opening a list again, with the marking fields on the same screen as the work.
How it is done today
Most of the time spent marking forty scripts goes on returning to a list, finding the next name and downloading a file. Half way through, nobody remembers who was last, so one student gets marked twice and another is skipped.
How it works

Open the submissions page
Go to the submissions page from the classroom's assignment. The instructions and rubric sit alongside, so there is nothing else to open.

Start with the first submission
The first student's work is shown as the page loads, with whatever they wrote and whatever files they attached on the same screen.

Step to the next student
The control for moving between students is on the screen. Finishing one and going to the next does not mean waiting for anything to load again.

Mark on the same screen
The marks and comments sit beside the work, and a voice note can be added too. What you type is saved as you go.
