Move a batch without going one student at a time
A student's classrooms can be set from the row actions on the students list, and for several students at once by selecting rows and using the bar above them. The classrooms you tick become the whole list, so adding and removing happen in one step.
How it is done today
Part-way through a session a few students move from the morning batch to the afternoon one. Doing that one at a time takes a while, and somebody ends up in both, which breaks the attendance list and the fee figures together.
How it works

Open the students list
Go to the Students page as a teacher. A column on each row shows which classrooms that student is currently in.

Pick one student or several
For one, use the row actions. For several, select the rows and a bar appears above the table for the selection.

Choose the classrooms
Your own classrooms are listed. Tick the ones the student should be in and untick the ones they should leave.

Check the table
When it is done, the Classrooms column shows the new assignment, so you can confirm it landed as you meant straight away.

Frequently asked questions
Does the selection replace the whole list?
Yes. What you tick becomes the student's classrooms and anything unticked is dropped, so keep the existing ones ticked if they should stay.
Can I put a student in another teacher's classroom?
No. Only your own classrooms are offered, so nobody lands in someone else's batch by mistake.
How many students can I move at once?
As many rows as you select. Set the classrooms once from the bar above and the same assignment applies to all of them.
