A small correction should not wait for the admin
The row actions on the students list open a sheet with that student's details. The name, the institution ID and the contact details can be corrected and saved. The email cannot be changed here, and role changes are off for teachers.
How it is done today
Names get misspelled during a rushed enrolment, or the student's old number goes in where the parent's should be. Small corrections that have to go through the admin take days, and in the meantime the SMS keeps going to the wrong number.
How it works

Open the row actions
On the students list, open the actions for the row you want to correct and choose the option that edits their details.

Correct the details
Change the name, the institution ID and the contact details. The email field cannot be edited here and is handled separately.

Save
After saving, the list reloads and the row shows the new details, so you can see the correction landed.

Copy the ID if you need it
The institution ID is shown on the row and can be copied, so reconciling against a fee register does not mean retyping it.

Frequently asked questions
Why can the email not be changed?
The email is what the account signs in with, so it is deliberately not editable from this sheet. That removes the risk of breaking someone's login by accident.
Can a teacher change a student's role?
No. Changing roles and making someone an admin are both off for teachers. Those stay with the institution admin.
Can students edit their own details?
Students have their own profile settings. This sheet is for a teacher keeping the record of a student in their classroom correct.
