Who submitted and whose paper is still unmarked, side by side
Opening a quiz's submissions page from the classroom shows the students who took it in a sidebar, and picking one opens their answers in the main area. There is no going back to a list page each time to reach the next student.
How it is done today
Multiple choice marks itself, but written answers still need reading. Keeping track of whose paper has been looked at is done from memory, so somebody is skipped, and after the results go out that student comes back saying their mark is missing.
How it works

Open the quiz's submissions page
Go to the submissions page from the classroom's quiz list. The quiz and all of its submissions load together.

Read the sidebar
The students who took the quiz are listed in the sidebar, so how many submitted is clear without counting anything.

Pick a student
Pressing a name opens their answers in the main area, with the marking fields for that attempt beside them.

If nobody has taken it
With no submissions the page shows an empty state and a way back, rather than opening a marking workspace with nothing in it.

No. Multiple choice and true-or-false are marked automatically. This page is mainly for putting marks on the written answers.
Can I release everyone's results at once?
Yes. The footer of the same screen releases every graded attempt together, and that action has a page of its own.
Do submissions from other classrooms appear here?
If the quiz was set to several classrooms, those attempts come through here too, because the list is built per quiz rather than per classroom.
