A way in that skips the password
A continue with Google button sits above the password fields on the sign-in screen. Anybody with a Google account can use it and never type a password. For those without one, or who would rather not, the email or phone and password route below is unchanged.
How it is done today
Many teachers already live in Google during the working day, so another password to remember is pure overhead. Many students, on the other hand, have no Google account at all, so making it the only route leaves them outside.
How it works

Open the sign-in page
Go to the sign-in page. The Google button sits above the password fields.

Tap the Google button
Tapping it hands you to Google's permission step, and the button shows that it is waiting.

Approve it with Google
Approving on Google's screen brings you back to ClassTablet and signs you in.

Can I sign in without Google?
Yes. Google is one route among others. The same screen takes an email or phone number with a password.
I signed up with a password. Can I add Google later?
Yes. Account setup has a step for connecting a Google account, and that step can also be skipped.
Are other social accounts supported?
Google is the only social route on this screen. The other two ways in are a password and the institution path.
