Who holds a student's details and who can change them
ClassTablet keeps a student's academic details from two directions. The student fills in their board, medium, version, group and class from their own settings. The teacher who teaches them in their own classroom can correct those details when needed, or set a new password.
In Bangladesh a student's record is more than a name: which board, which medium, which group. The pages below cover who supplies those details, who may change them, and where that power stops.

- Setting a student's password directly
When a student cannot sign in, their teacher can set a password there and then and simply tell them what it is. No waiting on an email or a reset code.

A misspelled name or a parent's new number can be fixed by the teacher who actually teaches that student, rather than going through the office.

Frequently asked questions
Can any teacher edit any student's details?
No. A teacher can only edit students enrolled in their own classrooms. Trying to edit anyone else is refused outright with a message saying exactly that.
Which boards can be chosen?
Twelve in all: the general education boards, alongside the Madrasa Education Board, the Technical Education Board and Bangladesh Open University.
Can new students be added here?
No, these pages are about existing students' details. New students arrive through a teacher adding them, a bulk import, or the online admission form.
