Your child's phone number is enough
Setting up a parent account includes a field for the child's phone number or email, with the relationship chosen underneath. The field works out which you typed as you go. When it matches a student, the accounts are linked and the child's name is shown back to confirm it.
How it is done today
A parent wants to follow their child's studies in the app, but the system has to be told which student is theirs. Logging in from the child's phone means knowing their password, which causes more trouble than it solves in plenty of families.

Set up a parent account
One of the setup steps is the field for linking a child's account, so there is nothing separate to go and find later.

Choose the relationship
Say how you are related to the child. Without it, the link button does nothing.

Enter the phone or email
Type the number or address the child's account was created with. The field works out for itself which of the two you entered.

Link it
On a match, the child's name is shown back to confirm it. If no student matches, the screen says so clearly.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need my child's password?
No. Linking needs only their phone number or email. The parent signs in to their own account and never has to enter the child's.
What if no student matches the number?
The screen says no student was found with that contact. Usually the child's account was created with a different number, so check that first.
What if we are already linked?
Nothing is duplicated. The screen says you are already linked to that student, so the same child never appears twice.
Can I link more than one child?
Yes. Link each child separately, then use the selector at the top of the home page to switch between them.
