Recordings from online classes land in the classroom by themselves
Open the Recordings tab in a ClassTablet classroom and the online classes held there are listed as recordings. Each row carries the date, the file size and the state, such as ready, fetching or unavailable. A teacher sees every recording; a student sees only the ones that have been released.
How it is done today
Recordings of online classes sit in the teacher's Google Drive or Zoom account. A student who missed a class asks for the link on WhatsApp, the teacher digs it out and sends it, and the same thing happens again next week. Two months later nobody can tell which file belongs to which class anyway.
How it works

Open the classroom and go to Recordings
Recordings is one of the tabs on the classroom page. A teacher of the classroom and any enrolled student can open it.

Read the list
Every row shows the date the recording is from, how large the file is and what state it is in. The newest ones sit at the top of the list.

Understand the state
Ready means it can be watched or downloaded. Fetching means the file is still coming across from the meeting service, and unavailable means that class has no recording to get.

Know who sees what
Teachers see both draft and published recordings. A student's list contains only the ones a teacher has released to the class.

What happens automatically
When a class ends, the recording is pulled from the meeting service and added to the classroom's list on its own, with nobody uploading anything.

Frequently asked questions
Do all classes end up here?
Classes held on Google Meet or Zoom with cloud recording switched on do. A class taught in the room at the coaching centre has no recording to collect.
Do students see every recording?
No. A student's list holds only the recordings a teacher has released. The rest stay with the teacher as drafts until that changes.
How long does a recording stay in fetching?
It is collected once the meeting service has finished preparing the file, so the wait depends on the length of the class and on the service. The state changes by itself when it arrives.
Which plan is this on?
Recordings come from the Google Meet or Zoom connection, and that connection is part of the negotiated Custom plan.
