Class recordings without uploading to Drive and sharing links
In ClassTablet, when a class recorded in Google Meet or Zoom ends, the recording arrives in the classroom's Recordings tab on its own and students can watch it there. The teacher can unpublish any recording to hide it from students and publish it again later. Teachers and students can both download it.
Recordings come through Zoom or Meet integration, which is part of the Custom plan. They help students who missed a class and anyone revising before an exam. Every recording collects in the classroom's Recordings tab.
Features in this area
- Download the recording and watch it without a connection
A ready recording has a Download button beside it. The file opens in a new tab, and the row shows its size first so you can judge the data cost.
- Pull back a recording you released by mistake
Released the wrong recording? The same button now reads Unpublish. Press it and the recording goes back to draft and out of the students' list.
- The teacher decides which recordings students get
Press Publish on a row in the recordings list and that class recording appears for enrolled students. Until then it stays with the teacher as a draft.
- Recordings from online classes land in the classroom by themselves
The classroom's Recordings tab fills itself with recordings from online classes, each one carrying its date, file size and whether it is ready yet.
Frequently asked questions
How long before a recording appears?
ClassTablet fetches it once Zoom or Google Meet finishes processing the recording. Meanwhile the tab shows Pending or Fetching, then Ready when it can be played.
Do students see every recording automatically?
Yes, a recording is published as soon as it arrives. If the teacher does not want students to see one, they press Unpublish and only teachers can see it.
What if the class was not recorded?
Then nothing appears in the Recordings tab. The class has to be recorded in Zoom or Meet; ClassTablet brings that recording into the classroom.
