Pull back a recording you released by mistake
Once a recording is published, the button on that row changes to Unpublish. Pressing it puts the recording back to draft and removes it from the list enrolled students see. The teacher still has it in their own list and can release it again later.
How it is done today
Releasing the wrong recording is easy on a day with two batches back to back. With a link shared from Drive or Zoom, fixing that is awkward because nobody knows where the link has already been forwarded. What a teacher needs is one button that takes it back.
How it works

Open the Recordings tab
Go to the classroom's Recordings tab. A row marked Published is one students can currently see in their own list.

Press Unpublish
On a published row, the button that said Publish now says Unpublish. It appears only for a teacher of the classroom.

The badge changes back
A 'Recording unpublished' message appears, the badge returns to Draft, and the list reloads so it shows the new state.

It leaves the student list
From then on, a student opening their Recordings tab no longer sees it. It stays in the teacher's list, so it can be released again later.

Frequently asked questions
Does a student who already downloaded it lose their copy?
No. Unpublishing stops new views and downloads, but a file already saved to a student's phone or computer stays there. Nothing recalls a copy that has left the platform.
Does unpublishing delete the recording?
No. It stays in the classroom's list as a draft; only the students lose sight of it. You can publish it again whenever you want.
Can a student unpublish a recording?
No. Publish and unpublish belong to a teacher of the classroom. A student can view and download the list, and nothing more.
