Download the recording and watch it without a connection
In a classroom's recordings list, any row marked ready carries a Download button. Pressing it opens the file in a new tab and the browser saves it. The row already shows the file size, so you know how much data the download will cost before you start it.
How it is done today
Plenty of students in Bangladesh count their mobile data, and connections slow down in the evening. Streaming a two-hour class that stalls every minute is no way to study. Downloading it once and watching later works, but a Drive link does not always allow a download.
How it works

Open the Recordings tab
Go to the classroom's Recordings tab. Teachers see every recording; an enrolled student sees the ones a teacher has released.

Check the size first
Each row shows the file size in KB or MB next to the date. On a tight data plan you can start with the smaller file and leave the rest.

Press Download
The button appears on rows marked ready. Pressing it opens the file in a new tab and the browser begins saving it.

Watch it offline
Once saved, the file plays in the ordinary video player on the phone or computer, with no need to open ClassTablet or be online.

Frequently asked questions
Can students download every recording?
Only the ones a teacher has released. A draft recording never reaches a student's list in the first place, so there is nothing there to download.
Can I forward the download link to someone else?
Before the download address is issued, the server checks that you belong to that classroom. So an address that reaches somebody outside the classroom will not give them the file.
Why can I not download one that is not ready?
A recording takes time to come across from the meeting service. Until the file has fully arrived there is nothing to save, so the button is not shown.
