How many SMS credits are left
A card on the institution's dashboard carries the current SMS credit balance along with the level at which it starts counting as low. The same figure appears again while a message is being written, and buying more credits starts from that same card.
How it is done today
Running out of credits halfway through texting two hundred parents on results day means spending the rest of the day working out who got the message and who did not. If checking the balance needs a separate page, nobody checks it beforehand.

Is there a list of individual credit movements?
There is no screen listing each transaction. The SMS page does show the total credits spent in the current month, and the list of messages sent sits below it.
Can the low-balance level be changed?
The level is shown on the card, but we do not claim a screen for changing it. As things stand the number can be read rather than set.
Who can see the balance?
The institution's admins only. It does not appear on a teacher's or a student's pages, because it is tied to what the institution spends.
