The numbers say whether the quiz was too hard
Opening the analytics page from a classroom quiz gives four figures at the top: how many attempts there were, the average score, the pass rate and the average time taken. Below them, a chart shows how the scores were spread across the class.
How it is done today
After a quiz the teacher has a pile of individual marks and nothing else. Working out whether the paper was too hard, or whether the time limit was too tight, means putting every score into a spreadsheet. Nobody has the evening for that, so the next quiz is set on instinct again.
How it works

Open the quiz
Go to the quiz from the classroom's quiz list and open its analytics page. A back button sits at the top to return.

Read the four figures
Total attempts, average score, pass rate and average duration sit as cards along the top, so the shape of the result is clear at once.

Look at the spread
The chart below shows how many students fell into each score band, which tells you whether the class clustered in the middle or split at both ends.

Use it on the next quiz
A very low average says the paper was hard; an average duration close to the limit says the time was tight. That is usually enough to set the next one better.
