Nobody already in the class is offered twice
From a classroom's page an administrator searches the institution's students by name or email and enrolls one. Students already active or waitlisted in that classroom do not appear in the results. If somebody had a join request waiting, adding them here approves it.
How it is done today
Deciding who goes into a class means holding two lists together: everybody the institution has, and everybody already in that class. When the two live apart, the same student gets added twice and the count stops matching the room.
How it works

Open the classroom's student panel
Go to the classroom you are enrolling into and open its student management panel.

Search by name or email
The search runs across your institution's students by name or email and brings back up to twenty five of them.

Pick the student
Choose the student from the results. Where two share a name, the email beside it tells them apart.

Enroll them
Once enrolled, the classroom's student count goes up by one in the same step.

Frequently asked questions
Do students already in the class show up in the search?
No. Anyone active or waitlisted in that classroom is filtered out of the results before you see them.
What if the student had a join request waiting?
Adding them here approves that request. There is nothing separate to go and accept afterwards.
What if I enroll the same student twice by mistake?
The second attempt is refused, saying the student is already enrolled, so the classroom's count does not drift.
