A classroom and its teacher, in one step
From the institution dashboard an administrator opens a classroom by giving its name, section, room and how many students it takes. One or more teachers can be chosen in the same step, and the system checks that they really are teachers at this institution before the classroom is created.
How it is done today
Before a session starts, every class on the routine has to exist in the software. When teachers each create their own, the naming drifts apart and the office cannot tell from the list which class is in whose hands.
How it works

Open the create panel
From the institution's classroom list, open the panel for creating a new classroom.

Give the name, section and room
Name the classroom and add its section and room number. Section and room can be left empty.

Set how many students it takes
It starts at thirty. Change the number to match the size of the class you actually run.

Choose the teachers
Type a name to pick one or more teachers from your institution. They are checked against your institution before anything is created.

Create the classroom
Once created it appears in the list, and the rest of its details can be changed later from the classroom's own page.

Frequently asked questions
Can teachers be added later instead?
Yes. The classroom is created even with no teacher chosen, and teachers can be attached afterwards from the classroom's manage teachers panel.
Can I assign a teacher from another institution?
No. The teachers you picked are checked against your own institution before the classroom is created.
Can the details be changed after it is created?
Yes. Changing the name, section and the rest is done from the classroom's own page, which the classrooms section covers separately.
