Points can be turned on for a batch, and a teacher can add or take them away with a reason attached. The batch's leaderboard shows where everyone stands, and a student can see the full record behind their own total.

A teacher can add or deduct points for a student with a reason attached. Without a reason nothing goes through, so every point has an explanation.

Points can be switched on or off for each batch on its own, and the unit they are counted in can be set to either XP or to stars for that batch.

A batch's students are ranked by their points on a single list, and each student is also shown their own position and their own total separately.

Frequently asked questions
What unit are points counted in?
One of two: XP or stars. Whichever the batch's settings choose is the unit its leaderboard and its records are then kept in.
Do sections get separate leaderboards?
No. The leaderboard is built for the main batch, so students split across sections all appear on one list and nobody is listed twice.
Is a reason required when awarding points?
Yes. Points cannot be added or removed without one, so when somebody asks later, what the points were for can actually be shown.
