When the time changes, drag the event across
Press one of your own events in the ClassTablet calendar and it opens again, ready for a new name, description, time or place. If you are in a hurry, drag the event straight onto another day or another hour instead and the new time is saved as soon as you let go.
How it is done today
The parents' meeting has moved an hour later, and if that never reaches the calendar the rest of the day is planned around the old time. Crossing it out in a paper diary and writing the new time above works once; after the second correction nobody can tell which time is the real one, and the diary stops being worth checking.
How it works

Open the event
Press your event in the calendar. The same dialog you created it in opens again, with the existing name, times and place already filled in.

Change what needs changing
Edit the name, the description, the start and end times or the place, whichever has moved. Turn on the all-day switch if it has become a whole-day commitment.

Save
Press Update Event and the calendar reloads with the event in its new slot. If it cannot be saved, a red message at the top says why.

Or just drag it
If there is nothing else to change, drag the event to a different day or hour and let go. The new time saves immediately, with no dialog and nothing else to press.

Frequently asked questions
Can I drag a class to a new time this way?
No. Classes, live sessions and deadlines are shown on the calendar but cannot be changed from it. To move a class, postpone it from the classroom's Classes tab instead.
Does the change save straight away?
Yes. Whether you press save or drop the event in a new slot, it goes to the server at once and the calendar refetches. There is no separate confirm step to remember.
How do I know if a change did not save?
A red message appears at the top of the screen with the reason the server gave. Nothing fails quietly, so you will not spend the rest of the day working from a time that was never stored.
