Keep your own commitments on the same calendar as your classes
Press an empty slot in the ClassTablet calendar and a new event dialog opens. Give it a name, optionally a description, a start and end time, and a place, then save. Turn on the all-day switch for something that runs the whole day. The event appears on the calendar next to your classes straight away.
How it is done today
Routine classes live in the app, but the parents' meeting, the exam-hall duty and the doctor's appointment live in a diary or in someone's head. So a teacher offers an extra class on Wednesday afternoon, remembers the meeting later, and has to ring round to move it. The clash was always there, just not anywhere you could see it.
How it works

Press an empty slot in the calendar
Press the day or the time slot where the event belongs. A new event dialog opens with that date and time already filled in for you.

Give it a name and times
Name the event, for example 'Parents meeting' or 'Exam hall duty'. Set a start and end time, or turn on the all-day switch if it runs the whole day.

Add a description and place
Add a line or two of description and a place if it helps, such as 'Coaching centre, first floor' or 'Zoom'. Both are optional; a name and a time are enough to save.

Save it
Press Save Event and the calendar reloads at once with the event on it. If it cannot be saved, a red message appears at the top saying what went wrong.

Frequently asked questions
Can students see my personal events?
No. A personal event stays on the calendar of whoever created it. Students in your classrooms and other teachers do not see it, so private commitments can go in without a second thought.
Will I get a reminder before the event?
No. Reminders go out before classes, but a personal event you created does not send one of its own yet. The event shows on the calendar and in the day's list, and that is where you will see it.
Can students create events too?
Yes. The calendar page is there for teachers and students alike, and creating an event works the same way for both. A student can block out study time or the trip to the coaching centre.
Can I change the time later?
You can. Press the event to open it again, change the name or the times, and save. You can also drag the event on the calendar to another day or another hour.
