Automatic reminders, whether anyone remembers or not
ClassTablet's reminders run on their own: on the 15th they remind students and parents about unpaid fees, on the 5th they flag last month's overdue fees, they announce classes 30 minutes before and at the start time, and they nudge students 24 hours before an assignment is due. No reminder goes by SMS.
The fee reminders each have their own page: the parents' reminder for the current month's fee, and the alert for last month's overdue fee. Each explains who hears what, and by which channel.

The moment you publish an assignment, ClassTablet queues a reminder for exactly 24 hours before it is due, then sends it to the class in-app and by push.

Five minutes after the deadline passes, ClassTablet tells the class the assignment is overdue, in-app and by push. No teacher has to check the list.
- Tuition fee reminders for parents, without the office phoning
At 9am on the 15th, ClassTablet tells parents of students who haven't paid, by inbox and email, which class and how much is due. No calls from the office.

If last month's fee is still unpaid on the 5th, ClassTablet alerts the student by push and the parents by inbox and email that it is overdue. Nobody tracks it.
Frequently asked questions
Which reminder goes to whom?
Fee reminders go to the student in the app and by push, and to parents in their inbox and by email. Class reminders go to both students and teachers; assignment reminders go to the class's students.
Do reminders still go out if a class is cancelled?
No. If a day's class has been cancelled, ClassTablet does not send that day's class-start reminders, so students aren't sent to a class that isn't happening.
Can reminders go by SMS?
Not at the moment. Reminders go as in-app notices, push alerts and email. For SMS, an admin sends it from SMS Tools, using SMS credits.
