Cancel one class and notify everyone in one tap
In ClassTablet a teacher presses Cancel Class on an upcoming date in the routine, adds a reason if they like, and confirms. The classroom's students and linked parents get a Class Cancelled notice in the app and by push right away. That day's reminder and join button go away, and next week's lesson stays as it was.
How it is done today
On a strike day, a sudden holiday or when the teacher is ill, the news that class is off goes out as a Messenger group post, then phone calls to everyone who doesn't read the group. Someone still turns up at the coaching centre and goes home, and the parent never learns why their child came back early.
How it works

Open the classroom's Classes tab
Pick a date in the classroom's Classes tab. As the teacher you see Cancel Class and Postpone buttons under each upcoming one.

Press Cancel Class
The 'Cancel this class?' sheet shows that date. Add a reason if you want, such as teacher unavailable or public holiday; it is optional.

Confirm
Pressing Cancel Class cancels only that date. The other days in the weekly routine and next week's classes stay exactly as they were.

Everyone finds out on their own
The classroom's students and linked parents get an in-app and push notice. The list marks the class Cancelled, the join button goes, and no reminder is sent for it.

Frequently asked questions
How do parents without a smartphone find out?
The cancellation notice goes out in the ClassTablet app and as a push notification, not by SMS. To reach parents on ordinary phones, the admin can send an SMS separately.
What if I cancel a class by mistake?
The cancelled class stays in the list marked Cancelled, with a Remove Special Class button under it. Press it and confirm, and the cancellation is lifted so it is back at its usual time.
Will the reminder still go out for a cancelled class?
No. Cancelling removes the class-start reminder for that date, so students are not reminded about something that is not happening.
Is this on every plan?
Yes. Cancelling and postponing classes are on Starter (৳499 a month), Standard (৳20 per student a month) and Custom alike.
