Each batch keeps its own code and its own number
A batch that runs its own payment numbers rather than the institution's can attach a QR code image to them. The code can only be put on a number belonging to that batch, and a number from another batch is refused rather than accepted.
How it is done today
In a larger coaching centre each branch or batch takes money into a different number. One code pinned up for everybody sends payments to the wrong branch, and reconciling what each one took at month end becomes guesswork.
How it works

Put the batch on its own arrangement
The batch has to be running its own numbers rather than the institution's before a code can be attached to one of them.

Pick the batch's number
The number the code goes on has to belong to this batch. A number from another batch is refused rather than quietly accepted.

Provide the code image
The image has to be a JPEG, PNG or WebP file and under two megabytes, or it is refused with the reason given.

Students scan and pay
Once the code is attached, students in that batch scan it when they come to pay rather than typing the number out.

Frequently asked questions
Can a code be put on another batch's number?
No. Whether the number belongs to this batch is checked first, and when it does not the request comes back as not found instead.
What if the batch uses the institution's arrangement?
Then it has no numbers of its own to attach a code to, so nothing is added. The batch has to be moved onto its own arrangement first.
Are batch and institution codes kept apart?
Yes, they are stored separately. A batch's code belongs to that batch's number and the institution's code belongs to the institution's number.
