Cancelling is not the same as stopping now

A teacher can cancel their own plan. It keeps running to the end of the period that has already been paid for, then stops renewing and drops back to the free plan. Nothing that has been put into the account is deleted by cancelling it.

How it is done today

Making somebody write in to cancel and then wait for a reply means a month gets charged that was never going to be used, and getting that back is a far bigger job than not being charged in the first place.

How it works

  1. 1

    Open the billing section

Open your own billing section, where the option to cancel sits beside the plan that is currently running.

  2. 2

    Ask to cancel

Choosing to cancel brings up a confirmation step first, so nothing is stopped by a single stray click.

  3. 3

    Read what will happen

That same step spells out that the plan runs to the end of the current period and that your data is kept.

  4. 4

    Confirm it

Confirming marks the plan cancelled and stops it renewing once the current period has run out.

Frequently asked questions

Does cancelling take everything away at once?

No. The plan runs to the end of the period that has already been paid for, and only then does it stop renewing.

Can an administrator's plan be cancelled here?

No. When the plan was put in place by an administrator the request is turned away, and it says so in those words.

Can an already cancelled plan be cancelled again?

No. The request is refused unless the plan is currently active, so cancelling twice is not something that can happen.
